Thread City Classical Dance will be offering hybrid dance classes this fall
Courses will be taught live in person with the option of attending via Zoom.
Courses will be capped at 8 students to allow 6' distancing and masks will be required. We will also have a 15 minute break between classes to clean and air out the space. Please sign up for classes now.
Summer 2020 Free Online Classes
We are starting with a 2 week trial period to gauge interest and see which classes run. Though teachers are donating their time, we will be accepting Venmo donations per class (@ThreadCity-ClassicalDance, or PayPal to , or mail checks to TCCD at 25 Meadow St., Willimantic, CT 06226). These donations will go toward paying the studio rent for the summer.
Classes will be shorter than they normally would be in the studio as space constraints make some of the traditional exercises impossible. We will do our best to accommodate the levels of those interested and adjust for space constraints.
Basic Ballet is aimed at students who have had 1-4 years of Ballet experience.
Intermediate Ballet is aimed at students who have 4+ years of experience.
For basic ballet and up we suggest finding a place in your house where you aren’t in danger of kicking anything that is, ideally, not carpeted. We suggest using a table or back of a chair as a barre.

On June 2nd, 2019 our Thread City dancers bought poetry to life in our 3rd annual Spring Showcase! We featured dances inspired by various poems and spoken word.
Congratulations to our dancers, teachers, choreographers, board, and parents for a spectacular show!

WHO WE ARE
Thread City Classical Dance is 501-c3 parent-run studio in Willimantic.
We believe there is value in studying any art for its own sake.
We welcome all sizes, shapes, abilities, and ambitions.
As a parent-run school, we will always work to keep our costs low
so that the greatest number of students may avail themselves of the
opportunity to experience the vitality of dance.
We further believe that access to dance training
should not be limited by family income, so we are taking steps
to seek sponsorships and grants to make this
possible in the near future.
