Offering a variety of classes in jazz, modern & tap!
Classes culminate with a Spring Performance at the end of the year!

CREATIVE DANCE

Ages 4-6

In this 45-minute class, students will learn coordination, musical awareness, movement imagination and creative response to music to encourage a love of dance and prepare them for Beginner Jazz, Tap and/or Ballet Basics.

TAP/JAZZ COMBO

Ages 7-11 

Appropriate for beginning level dancer or up to 3 years training.  Students learn tap & jazz including basic vocabulary, styles and fundamentals of technique, through floor progressions and dance combinations.  Creativity is encouraged.

Offered:

Tuesdays 5:45 - 6:45 p.m.

BEGINNER JAZZ

Ages 6-9

Appropriate for beginning level dancer or up to 3 years training.  Students learn jazz including basic vocabulary, styles and fundamentals of technique, through warm up stretches, floor progressions and dance combinations. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation.​

TAP ADD ON

Ages 12+

Appropriate for intermediate level and adult dancers. Students learn tap including basic to more complex vocabulary, styles and fundamentals of tap technique, through floor progressions and combinations. Creativity is encouraged.

Tuesdays 8:00 - 8:30 p.m. 

Ages 12+

CONTEMPORARY JAZZ & MODERN

Ages 12+

This class will build on the fundamentals of jazz and modern technique.  Learning vocabulary, combinations and choreography.  Beginner to Advanced students welcome.​  Creativity is encouraged through improvisation.

Offered:

Tuesdays from 6:45 - 8:00 p.m.

Hand Stand During Dance Performance

CONTEMPORARY
AND CHOREOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Ages 12+

The first hour of the course begins with a brief warm up including exercises that reinforce technical foundation and aim to improve the strength and flexibility necessary for dance. The course continues with rotational training in contemporary ballet, contemporary, modern, and musical theater. The second hour is a choreography workshop where students collaboratively create new phrases using their expanding vocabulary. Coaching will be provided to improve artistry and overall performance ability. Guest teachers may include professionals such as Susie Gorman, Charlene Amoia, and others via zoom if there is enough interest.  

Offered as an 11 week course, beginning September 14 and running through November 23.

Saturdays 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

DRESS CODE

Tap & Jazz:

Girls: Leotard, tank top or shirt with dance pants or tights. Hair secured back

Boys: T-shirt, comfortable shorts/dance pants or proper dance attire. Jazz shoes preferred

 

Tap Shoes required for tap at all levels
