INTRODUCTION TO BALLET

For Beginners of All Ages!

Classes taught by Amy Chibeau and Staff

Classes culminate with a Spring Performance at the end of the year!

PRE BALLET/ CREATIVE MOVEMENT

In this 45 minute class, students will learn coordination, musical awareness, movement imagination and creative response to music to encourage a love of dance and prepare them for Ballet Basics or and Beginner Jazz/Tap.

ABCs and 123s of Ballet including

core steps, simple patterns, French

terms, and musicality in a light-hearted

fun manner that prepares students

for Core study

BALLET FOR
OLDER BEGINNERS

This class covers the basics of ballet including core steps, simple patterns, French terms, and musicality to prepare them for Ballet Foundation class.  Intended for beginners, or those with little prior experience, it is designed to help older children catch up to a more intermediate level of study.

BALLET FOR ADULTS

Always wanted to try ballet? Studied ballet when you were younger and miss it? This class covers the basics of ballet, working toward a standard ballet class, suitable for those who have never studied before or are returning after a long absence. If you are interested in a more advanced level class, please contact us about drop-in options

Pilates Stretches

STRETCH AND STRENGTHEN

This 45-minute class is designed to condition and lengthen muscles for dancers and non-dancers alike. Students will engage in ballet, yoga, and Pilates based movement for a full body toning workout.

Homeschool Ballet Teacher with Student

DRESS CODE

All Ballet Classes:

Girls: Pink or Black Leotard, with pink tights. Hair tightly secured back in a bun.

Boys: T-shirt, athletic shorts, dance belt, or proper dance attire preferred. 

Adults: Dance/ Fitness attire requested

 

Proper ballet slippers required for all levels

Street shoes NOT permitted on the dance floor
