Join Thread City Classical Dance for our summer session from July 5 - August 15!
Attend ANY six children's summer classes at the same level (same color on the class calendar) for only $125 if registered by June 1st!
After June 1st, registration is $159 for the summer session.
When enrolling, please register for the class day and time the student is most likely to attend each week.

Registration for summer classes is through our online dance portal. Over the summer session, students enrolled in our children's classes may take any six classes at any day or time, as long as the class is at their level (color coded on the summer class calendar). Please register for the class day/time slot the student is most likely to attend the most frequently. Thank you!

If a student would like to take more than six classes over the summer or you are uncertain which class would be the best fit, please contact us and we'd be happy to help.

Primary A/B
Ages 5-6
This one hour class covers the
ABCs and 123s of Ballet including core steps, simple patterns, French terms, and musicality in a light-hearted
fun manner that prepares students
for classical ballet.

PreBallet
Ages 3-4
In this 45 minute class, students will learn coordination, musical awareness, movement imagination and creative response to music to encourage a love of dance.

Beginning Ballet for Adults and Teens
Ages 14+
This class is great for beginners aged 14 and older who would like to focus on the fundamentals of ballet. Students will learn barre and floor exercises and expand on learned knowledge weekly.

Exploring Dance
Ages 4 - 6
In this 45 minute class, students will learn coordination, musical awareness, movement imagination and creative response to music to encourage a love of dance and develop their creativity.

Jazz
Ages 7-12
This class will build on the fundamentals week by week! Learning technique, vocabulary and combinations.
Beginner to Advanced students welcome!

Children's Tap
Ages 4 - 6
Students learn tap including basic vocabulary, styles and fundamentals of Tap through technique, floor progressions and dance combinations. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation.

Tap
Ages 7 - 12

Foundation Ballet
Ages 7+
​
This level is appropriate for beginner ballet students and continuing students age 7+. Students will explore building a technique foundation that supports a dancer through all future ballet study. They will learn more complex movements to their vocabulary and combinations. New ballet students will learn the foundational principles of ballet and build their skills in developmentally appropriate ways.

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet
This class moves beyond foundational technique. Summer classes are more relaxed than the strict discipline of our regular year Intermediate classes, but still emphasize alignment, articulation, extension, elevation and musicality, while dancing more involved choreographic phrases with intermediate pirouettes, waltzes, small jumps, grand allegro and coda typical traveling turns.

Beginning Ballet for Older Children​
Ages 7 - 12
​
Beginning Ballet students will build a strong foundation for more serious studies in the future with exercises to build strong muscles, expressive arms and hands and gain an understanding of ballet's most common rhythms and vocabulary.

Tuesdays 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Pointe Variations
Open to Students with Previous Pointe Experience
After a pointe barre, this class will work on Variations (solos) from the repertoire of famous classical ballets. Available only to students with previous Pointe training, consult the teacher with questions.

Ages 14 & up

Appropriate for adult and teen dancers. Students learn tap including basic to more complex vocabulary, styles and fundamentals of tap technique, through floor progressions and combinations. Creativity is encouraged.

Information for Classical Ballet Program & Adult Summer Classes
Intermediate & Advanced Ballet class, Pointe Variations, and Beginner Ballet for Adults & Teens classes require both online registration for enrollment and a punch card for payment. Punch Cards are available in our online store portal and are good for the entire summer.
Once purchased, punch cards will be handed out in the studio to students at their first class.​
